Updates!!

Well, it's been awhile since I posted any news here, and when I realized that, I felt bad that I haven't been keeping you all updated (not like anyone actually reads this!). So, without further ado, here's the latest...

The most recent negative thing that comes to mind is that Heather and I were the victims of bank fraud to the tune of $2500. It is really quite depressing when you discover you have been had, and I guess whoever did this was somehow able to duplicate our bank card and get our PIN. I hear this is an old trick, but I never actually heard of anyone actually getting ripped off like this. So, we have escalated this to the bank's fraud division, who I presume are looking into this as we speak. Assuming they can prove that we didn't orchestrate the fraud ourselves, I guess we get our money back. That's little consolation at the moment, though. The worst thing is, there is no way to contact the fraud division to find out how the investigation is going - very frustrating!!

So, work is our next topic I guess. That is what everyone always asks me about these days. Well, as you probably know, Heather has been working at a daycare on the Danforth for quite some time now, and although I have been getting small freelance gigs here and there it's been a bit tough on my end of things. Recently though, I have started a fairly decent web development project with a friend of a friend, and that - while slow to start - looks like it will be going in full force very soon. I have also been lucky enough to get some work from a friends company working on a Video On Demand and Live TV application - which I am finding very interesting. It's a really great place to work, and the people are fantastic, so that's very positive!

Other than that, it's been more of the same around here - same shit different day as they say.
